The Apple Store!
As i passed by the Apple Store today, I saw all the friendly faces and said I had to go check it out. Partially, because I was by myself in the mall (by the way, try to avoid this as it tends to be boring and you look kind of strange in the process) and because the experience of seeing all the cool gadgets is dazzling. The colorful sights on the walls and the total vibrancy throughout the room is very inviting as I browsed through the new Iphone 3G. The way they have the stores set up, accommodating lessons for beginners and a Genius bar for those who need assistance, create the ideal buying environment. But normally, I just go in to look. Seeing all the well qualified and helpful employees that always know what they’re talking about in their assorted colorful t-shirts. As I was leaving, I noted that the next store over was the Sony Store, which easily had a ratio of 10 employees to 1 customer. The Macintosh Corporation knows what they’re doing.
Billie Jean Live in New York
In my week long tribute to Michael Jackson, here is the best video I’ve found. Take note of the crowd which includes a few young ladies crying.
A Tribute to The King of Pop
The hips that made those of all ages go crazy for years of the past and years to come. This is the first clip where Michael displayed the epic Moonwalk.
The Death of a Pioneer
As everyone has probably heard already, yesterday, pop sensation Michael Jackson was pronounced dead at the UCLA medical center in California. Out of the spotlight in recent times, Jackson was supposed to perform a set of 50 concerts in Europe to exhibit his past performing skills to his 3 children. Not given the credit he deserves by the up and coming “blackberry generation” of the 21st century, Jackson was one of the best and most unique musician we have ever known. As he bridged the gap for African Americans on MTV and set a new standard for the production of music videos, Jackson released many immaculate songs in his solo career after his time in the Jackson 5, revolutionizing the pop-culture grid. His incredible dance moves and sensational performing abilities have grown him a fan base around the world that is now in mourning. Jackson’s social life became very difficult with incidents such as the baby from a balcony, court case with little boys, and the choice to change the pigment of his skin color. His loneliness through this process must have been enormous as this news becomes beyond the unfortunate to all. RIP POP KING
